About Protostarengineering
An Engineering-First Septic Team for Ocala
Protostarengineering designs and installs onsite wastewater treatment systems for property owners across Ocala, Florida and the surrounding Marion County communities. We handle the whole system, from the perc test and soil profile through the tank, distribution box, and drainfield, and we build conventional gravity, aerobic, and engineered mound layouts depending on what the ground can absorb.
The name says it: we treat a septic install as an engineering problem. Ocala sits on sandy soil over the Floridan aquifer, and karst limestone can sit closer to the surface than a homeowner expects. That is why we dig a soil profile and run a percolation test before we quote anything. The perc rate sets the drainfield size, the water table sets whether you need a mound, and those numbers decide what the Marion County health department will permit.
How We Work
- Soil first. We test where the field will actually go, confirm the seasonal water table, and design to the measured perc rate.
- Permitted and staked. We pull the county permit, submit the site plan, and stake the layout so the crew builds to the drawing.
- Materials that last. Watertight concrete, HDPE, or fiberglass tanks, Schedule 40 PVC, effluent filters, and gasketed risers to grade.
- Closed out clean. You get an as-built record when the system passes final inspection.
